In her artist’s statement Cogan wrote, “Through drawings, paintings, and various animation techniques, I explore questions about energy and the spiritual process of making art. How does an artist "call upon the muse"? Does part of the artist become woven into a work? Does the life and energy of the subject give life to a work? And finally, does the destruction of a work of art mean that it is really destroyed, or just transformed?”
The Cazenovia College Art Gallery is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Shows and receptions are free and open to the public. Staffed by student monitors, the hours are: Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Friday, 1-4 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m., during the fall and spring semesters.
