National Association of Equine Affiliated Academics (NAEAA) Conference July 25 - 28
 

The 2010 National Association of Equine Affiliated Academics (NAEAA) Conference, at Cazenovia College from July 25 to 28, brings together academic stakeholders from the United States, England, and Canada as well as top equine industry stakeholders to explore methods to improve the quality of equine undergraduate education. The conference agenda includes presentations, panel discussions, and interactive workshops.

Conference presenters come from 24 institutions in 20 different states. The keynote address, given by Dr. Elizabeth Sibolski, president of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, is titled, “The Path toward Excellence: Creating Useful Evaluation Standards.”  Dr. Sibolski’s comments will open the conference sessions on “Excellence in Equine Undergraduate Education,” which includes an interactive workshop facilitated by Dr. Larry Van De Valk from LEAD New York, Cornell University.

Sessions during the conference include workshops, discussions and lectures, as well as tours of several equine facilities in Central New York and a day at the races in Saratoga.
